Microsoft Excel: How do I sum the contents of a column?
If, for example, you want to sum the contents of column A1 to A15 and have the result in A16 Excel can perform the calculation for you.
- Click in cell A16.
- Type =Sum(A1:A15).
- Press Enter.
The result of the calculation will be displayed in cell A16. If any of the values in cells A1 to A15 are changed, the result in A16 will also change to reflect the changes in A1-A15.
