What is HTML?

HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. This is a language that is used by Web browsers (such as Internet Explorer and Netscape) to display information on Internet sites. It can be written using a variety of different editors, including both Notepad and Wordpad which are included with all versions of Windows.
