FAQ - Spyware - what is it?


Did you know that by going to a website or downloading software that you can unknowingly install a bit of spyware on your computer? What does spyware do anyway?


Spyware is a small piece of software on your computer that, unknown to you, collects information about your online activities; the websites you visit, your interactions with those sites, the time spent there, etc., and returns that information to the owner. Many of them gather information that you might not give out willingly.

There are several products on the market that will search out spyware installed on your machine. At this time, we recommend Spybot or Windows Defender.

Regularly remove spyware in order to protect your computer.
