How do I create a new database using Database Wizard in Access 2000?


When you start Microsoft Access, you will see a dialog box with the following options:

Select Access Database Wizards, Pages, and Projects, then click OK

  1. Click the Database tab
  2. Select the template that best represents what information your database will contain, then click OK
  3. Enter a File Name for your database and then click Create.
  4. The Database Wizard will now open a window that shows you what information the Database will contain. Click Next.
  5. Next you can identify the tables and fields you want in your database
    1. You cannot deselect a table, but you can deselect fields within a table.
    2. Remove the checkmark in the box for any field you do not want to include.
  6. Click Next
  7. Select the Screen Display for your database, and click next.
  8. Choose a Style for your database, and click next
  9. Type in a Title for your database
  10. Click Next
  11. Click Finish
