FAQ - Windows 2000: Personalized Start Menus

Problem:

How can I see all of the programs I have when I open the Programs Menu? How can I change the view to see only recently viewed programs?

Solution:

A feature that Windows 2000 and ME have that sets the apart from previous Windows operating systems is that they will display only your most recently used programs in the Programs Menu. This feature is called Personalized Menus.

You can disable this feature (to show all of your progrmas rather than just those you've used recently).

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Taskbar And Start Menu.
  4. Remove the check mark next to Use Personalized Menus.
  5. Click on Apply.
