FAQ - Y Drive - Plain text passwords are not allowed

Plain text passwords are not allowed

As of May 20th, 2007, the CWIS server requires encrypted passwords in order to connect to the server. Most computers already have the correct setting enabled to connect to the Y: Drive, but if you encounter an error mapping to the Y: Drive that is not password related, you may wish to ensure that your settings are correct.

To do this you can download and run the updater application, which will automatically make the necessary change to your computer security policy.

You will need to be logged in as an administrator to run the program and it is recommended that you close all applications.
